Dr. Amy Anderson is an Assistant Professor of the Practice in Duke’s Program in Education where she teaches courses in the Foundations of Education, School Resegregation, and Critical Studies in Education. Amy is a Faculty Consultant for Duke Service-Learning, supporting Duke faculty in developing meaningful community-engaged experiences in undergraduate courses. As a Team Lead for the Durham University-Assisted Community Schools Research Collective, Amy co-facilitates students’ exploration of community schools generally and University-Assisted Community Schools specifically. Amy’s research focuses on facilitating meaningful student pathways through the integration of curricular and co-curricular experiences.

Amy holds a B.A. in French from UNC-Chapel Hill, an M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from the University of Vermont, and a PhD in Culture, Curriculum and Change in Education from UNC-Chapel Hill. When not at work, Amy enjoys time with her partner Nancy and pup Socks.
