Christian M. Jones is a second-year Duke Sanford School of Public Policy student in the Master of National Security Policy program. She joins the SRCUACS community as the project manager for the Southeast Region. Her goal is to increase engagement across the Region by promoting the six principles of SRCUACS and creating a space for community to be felt across digital platforms.

Her academic pursuits are centered on investigating the domestic impacts of national security policies, particularly in areas such as education, workforce development, and technological advancements. Currently, she is exploring how these diverse factors contribute to national competitiveness and security.

A native of South New Jersey, Jones holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Saint Augustine’s College, where she also served as a student member of the Board of Trustees. Before enrolling at Sanford, she gained experience as a legal assistant in the New York City Metropolitan Area, served as an AmeriCorps member, and helped coordinate various academic projects at Duke University.

Jones blends her passion for national security with a collaborative spirit by focusing on innovative solutions in education, workforce development, and cybersecurity. Her goal is to inspire and cultivate the influential role of education and human capital in enhancing our nation's resilience and global standing.

Outside of academia, she enjoys spin classes, cooking and baking for others, and is committed to fostering positive growth in children by helping them develop etiquette and leadership skills.
