Jamie Eaton currently serves as the Administrative Support for the University Honors Program at North Carolina Central University. As a recipient of a public education, Jamie is excited about the wealth of resources and community good our local schools can be. Since 2019, Jamie has been a team lead for the Durham University-Assisted Community Schools Research Collective, an interdisciplinary research initiative with Duke and North Carolina Central University students.
A New England native, Jamie moved to North Carolina in 2010 & began her work at NCCU in 2014. She attended Southern Connecticut State University where she studied Early Childhood Development & Psychology. A lifelong passion for the education of young people and the hope for a more equitable, just and compassionate tomorrow keeps her motivated! When she’s not working, Jamie enjoys cooking, reading, and hitting the beach as often as she can!
